Sharon Dahme

Sharon Dahme is the director of the San Geronimo Childcare Center and the Pre-K (Redbirds) teacher.  She has worked with children for over 35 years. After completing Early Childhood Education at the College of Marin, Sharon ran her own Family Daycare Center in her home for 10 years. Sharon taught at the San Geronimo Childcare Center for 9 years before becoming Director in 2001. She is committed to the Play-based style of learning that blends both child-directed and teacher-directed activities that include art, stories, dramatic play, large motor activities and hands-on natural science. She is the mother of three adult children and a longtime resident the San Geronimo Valley and Marin.


Angelina Papia

Angelina Papia is the 3-4’s (Bluebirds) teacher at SGCC.  She has worked with children for over 20 years as a nanny, childcare provider, First Five Kindergarten Readiness teacher, and preschool teacher.  She received her Early Childhood Education training from the College of Marin and is working to complete a Bachelor degree.  Ang is the mother of two school-age sons, Dylan and Miles. Raised in the San Geronimo Valley, she has a deep connection to the community and passion for teaching young children.


Margaret Krauss

Margaret Krauss joined the preschool in 2002 and is currently the lead teacher in the Toddler (Chickadees) room, having also worked with the 3, 4 and 5 year old’s.  She has a California State Early Childhood Education Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University and Waldorf  training.  Margaret was born and raised in Marin.  She has four adult children and six grandchildren.  Margaret and family have lived in Australia and Brazil where she was also a teacher.


Jacqui Dahme

Jacqui Dahme has been a co-teacher in all three programs.  She discovered her passion for early childhood education while volunteering at SGCC and completed her formal training in 2016.   Jacqui believes strongly in the value of family, honoring the whole child, and adapting her teaching to each child’s learning style and temperament.
